I HATE SNOW

Ok so I live in Seattle...IT NEVER SNOWS HERE...ok well on occasion it does but it never lasts long. We have had snow for a week now and I am so damn sick of it....AND we are getting more tomorrow and it is supposed to be like a hurricane through here this weekend.


So today my sister and I decided to take the bus and do some shopping. That was all fine. We walked to the bus (when I almost died 5 times slipping on ice). We got to the mall and all was well. We had the loverly CPK for lunch then the shop til you drop began.

We got to the "drop" point in our shopping excursion so we decided to catch the bus and go home. Well we get to the bus stop and learn that it had not come in over an hour. So we wait and wait and wait...til it gets dark and below 20 degrees. There was no way to figure out the time it was supposed to come so we walk down the hill thinking it changed its route. We almost had to stay in downtown overnight because I thought it would never come.

FINALLY we get on the bus...I almost hugged the driver. Now I am home and almost too warm..

Hopefully the weather doesnt happen the way they say!

My Mother

God love the woman. She does so much for us but sometimes I feel as though she wants us to feel guilty for what she does for us.

It is probably safe to say that since the day I was born we have been at war. Like I am not even kidding. We can get a long great for weeks at a time then some little smart comment from her or even me at times (that was hard to admit) sets it all off.

Like last night for example. There I was minding my own business on the couch watching trashy TV (Real Housewives of OC and that new show Mommas Boys) and she is like "oh I think you should go to bed." I am almost 21 freakin years old...I am pretty sure I dont need to be told when to go to bed. Then she sits down and changes the channel (Mind you we have like a million TVs in our house because we all watch too much of it). So then we get into this huge argument and she says that she is going to take my loan money for school and I will have to figure it out on my own...Now if I had a dollar for everytime she has said that in the last 2 years I would be a wealthy woman.

Now I love my mom dont get me wrong but she is crazy. Actually I think we are the same person and we just arent compatible. This isnt something new but I am almost to the point where Im just done with it. They are leaving next fall and after that I really would have no reason to visit her if my dad werent around.

So we will see

New Year's goals

So one of my new year's goals is to lose at least 15 lbs by my birthday in May. I find this to be pretty reasonable given that would be 3 lbs a month.

I find that the people on this blog have the same worries and face the same obstacles that I do while trying to lose weight.
I was an athlete in high school so that 6 days a week working out for 2+ hours a day for almost every week of the year...so it is safe to say I was pretty in shape
Then I went to college...

This has turned out to be harder then I expected. I completely stopped working out + the eating crappy foods didnt help either. But I have lost almost half of what I have gained in the past 1.5 years so I am on the right track.

Now this next quarter starting in Jan. I have no reason whatsoever not to go to the gym. I have 2 days off during the week and I dont start classes until the mid afternoon.

My only problem is my cravings for everything bad for you.

I am a big snacker...and I have been pretty good about what I buy but it is not good enough.

Any suggestions on good snacks..because I don't see myself stopping that. We all need to eat when we are hungry...just eat healthy things!

Sooo

I have been pretty much sitting on my ass for the past 5 days.
For the following reasons:
1. There is like 2 inches of snow/ice outside and we refuse to drive anywhere
2. It is break after all
3. I have all of the dvds of LOST season 4...and I am almost done :(
4. Because I feel like it

I would love for it to stop being 15 degrees outside so I can actually enjoy my break. I wasnt able to go to the things I wanted this weekend because it has been hell trying to get out of the neighborhood. Since when does it snow here?

Well I have no clue what to get my sister for her 18th bday in a few days...I guess I can come up with something!

I am so proud of myself for this quarter's grades so far!! Hopefully the last one will be better than I expect!

Home Home Home

I cannot believe that quarter went by as fast as it did! Thank goodness it is over!

We got our Christmas Tree today and it is soo cute. We are into the small ones that no one else buys. Although I had to over rule my sisters idea to get a big one...but it would simply not fit in the car. Ha

We decorated it tonight and now that it is supposed to SNOW this weekend I guess it really will feel like winter/Christmas.

By the way I HATE snow! I cannot stand being out in the cold and wet snow...it drives me nuts.

Well maybe I will try to take a pic of the tree soon and put it up here!!

Now it is officially break!!

So now that I am done with finals I get to go home!
My dad is picking me up this afternoon...then we are getting our Christmas tree!

I can't wait to be home for:
-Getting to see my girlies
-Christmas party at a friends this weekend...I am so excited to be with everyone again
-Seeing my sister
-Working...who doesn't love to make money?
-Sleeping in
-Home cooked meals
-Lounging all day in my jammies...oh wait I do that already!

Well it is Sunday night and I have only 2 finals in the way of Winter Break!

This weekend was relaxing all the while I got things done!

So I am totally procrastinating so I am going to write a long blog to keep me distracted from FINALS...ugh

This week is half over..YAY!

Now that we are past that excitement...

I have a final on Friday that I am proud to say I have started studying for! You see if this was the non productive, I dont care me at this point I wouldnt have even printed out the study guide yet. BUT I am almost done with it...phew

Does anyone else watch Real Housewives of Orange County? I love it... I know I know.
So I was reading something online and I saw where the new girl Gretchen..you know the really pretty one..her like old man boyfriend DIED...ya I know sad right. I feel so bad for saying and thinking mean things about their relationship...sad times.

Well 1 week until I return home for break...and I cannot even wait.

Lists..

Today has been pretty successful so far...
-I got to sleep in!
-I went to class
-I went to the gym! yay!
-And now I guess I should study...ugh

So I have come up with my New Years ResolutionS..yes the "s" is bigger because there are more than one
1. To go to the gym more, eat better, and lose weight by my 21st...May 24th
-that is 5 months so that should be plenty of time to get to my goal
2. Become more independent and a strong woman..I mean I will be 21
3. Come to terms with growing up...I really dont want to though
4. Be happy for my parents and their new adventure...across the country...but it is for the better of my family..
5. Be more of a happy person...


So I know it is kinda early to write these down..and it is possible not to follow any of them but we shall see huh?

So this week is gonna be filled with lots of studying...and hopefully lots of sleep.

I am proud to say that I think I am on the upswing with some of my grades which is just what i need!

To get me through this week here are some things I am looking forward to:

• Gossip Girl tonight! I can't help it I am addicted
• As well as the Hills...I know I know
  

The one thing I don't mind spending my money on...







And my daddy's birthday on Saturday
...I wish I could be there...it will be the 3rd year in a row I cannot be there. Then next year with them gone it is going to be even harder.
I got him a good card though so that is what counts! He is a simple man and Hoops and Yoyo from Hallmark make him smile!




Also I cannot wait for the SEC Championship game Saturday!!! GO BAMA!


This is my way of procrastinating so I should go get stuff done before TV!

It's a white t kinda day

My sister always has cool new clothes when I come home...so I steal them! Ha

She had a pack of plain white t's on her bed so I "borrowed" a couple.


I cannot believe it is December already...time is flying by so fast...but that is nice kind of.
